"Shifter" is suddenly an odd word for me.

I've been reading this comic since nearly the start, and the word Shifter had its meaning intricately tied into what it means in this comic.

Now I work in a new industry and a 'shifter' is the guy who is in charge of the crew I work on. My brain kind of glitches out every time I hear the word now.

Damn you, SM. Damn you.

To be honest, Shifters is a common word, which is why I keep it paired with something (the beast within originally, and now redux). I actually get more annoyed when people usurp the word "Kinsmir" since that IS my word. I made that specifically for Shifters.
